Hope arrived in Aldabbah before the dust settled

In the midst of uncertainty and loss, hope found a voice at Aldabbah, Hosh Maleet. NADA   as usual was  the  first  NGO who was present to welcome families  of newly displaced  whom arrived from Alfashir- North Darfur State.  NADA  opened its arms and its heart  through mobile specialized team who provided psychological first aid and psychosocial support(PSS)  to the women and girls who arrived weary, scared, and unsure of what tomorrow might bring. Arriving not just with services, but with compassion, presence, and the promise that they were not alone nor forgotten. In a deeply moving PSS session centered on trauma relief and anxiety management, nearly 50 women and girls gathered, some holding back tears, others clutching the pain of what they had left behind. NADA provided not just tools, but a safe space. Together, they explored pathways to healing through trauma relief strategies, shared stories in group discussions, and quiet moments of individual counseling for those whose wounds lay deeper than words could show.

What happened next was unforgettable. Faces once heavy with fear began to soften. Shoulders loosened. A spark of light returned to eyes that had seen too much. One woman tearfully shared, “This is the first time I have felt safe since we left home… I never knew we were important enough for someone to sit and listen to us.” Others echoed this sentiment, expressing not just gratitude, but a longing for healing, for community, for unity, for a better tomorrow.. and for NADA to return again.
